So I've been wanting to make this thread since the birth of the AutoZONE but wanted to see how everyone on here was going to behave before I did.....so with out further adue...i know you guys race your cars....im especially looking at c-town and fieldy on that, you dont have ls1's and wastegates for only the sound...anyways, tell your stories.


I have one from a few days ago, its probably my favorite kill...becasue well...it was a slaughter. I was in a hurry after work friday to get to the movies and I guess this orange first gen neon...yes a neon...and yes orange....saw me. he sped up to catch up to me so we were side by side rolling at like maybe 75ish...we gave each other the look or whatever and then he started to beep his horn (for those that dont know, the 3rd beep means go) so the 3rd beep goes and i just took off on him, it was like nothing, i dont even think he pressed the gas pedal down, i shot up like 7 or 8 car lengths with in a few seconds..i tried to slow down for him to catch back up but he stayed a cool few cars behind me the rest of the way home..

here i was thinking he must have something done to his car to approach me like that and well...nope...just orange paint and wingswest body kit :no:

btw i hate body kits, especially on a neon

91??? 240sx VS 88 PRELUDE SI n/a build

some what highway racing, i am not sure he knew we were cause i burned him, lol
crusing down 95 (a local highway) going about 60, kinda slow. i see a 240sx, dropped, muffler, rimmed up, not sure what else he had. well neways, he was tailing me pretty close and i was getting angry cause he thought he could maybe keep up with me. he pulls next to me and looks right at me and pulls off thinking he can beat me or something, lmao.
long story short he was about 5 cars infront of me, i wait for the high-speed lane to clear and gun it, going about a buck on the highway blowing past him. he tries to keep up, but no dice hence why idk if he knew we were racing. sadness.... 240's made more for drifting, not racing, he had no chance

Lol.Actually my favorite story, was after we just got it done and I drove it on the street for the first time.Its made for drag, but its all street legal still.So I'm drivin' down the main street, start gettin' on it a little but not 2 much cuz traffics bad. Turn to go down a back road, and some kid with a Celica(think thats what it was) musta saw me. He was stopped behind me at the stop sign.I could hear his blow off valves, so I know he had work done 2 it.Get on the road, and as Im getting ready to gun it, I see this kid get beside me and take off.I was like chea boy its on. Let him get a good ways ahead of me, and BOOM.Kid didnt know what hit him.Was like a bullet.First im way behind him, and a minute later im about 4 car lengths ahead of him before he even realizes i passed.

Anyways we did a little more tuning, little more modification and finally im bringin' it with my dad to chicago for some real street racing. Drive for two hours, get up there and start lookin' for races. Right away my dad got a race with an old Javelin (boner.I love AMC cars.IDK why but they are teh sweet) He won that.Bout half an hour later, he hooked me up with a race against a turbo charged mustang. Put up all the money I had on me (bout 350 bucks), lined up and let him have it out of the line. He was getting a little cocky cuz he wasnt expecting much from a 94 Z28. As soon as he got about half a car length ahead of me, I stomped that bitch.Front wheels came off the ground and I was like chea its on now. By the time I got 2 the end, he was about 4 car lengths behind me. Easy 350 bucks.

Also raced an old ass charger, but not for money. Good thing 2 cuz he royaly smoked my ass.

i have one, its a loss unfortunately:(, this was back when i had my 96' maxima, ok so im leaving my friend michael's house with my friend robert in the car, so we get on the interstate and this 2 door silver civic(2001-2005), comes flying up beside me, from what I could tell he at least had I/H/E and prob more that i didnt know about, by the way he was driving I could tell he was in a hurry, so he was on my left side beside me and the interstate at this point is 3 lanes wide, so im stuck behind a 18 wheeler in the middle lane and he is stuck behind a car in the far left lane and there is also another random car in the far right lane, so we are stuck behind 3 cars, i look over to him and he looks back at me, and next thing i know he takes off onto the left shoulder of the interstate so i take off and by this time the ramdom car that was in the right lane was in front of the 18 wheeler, so I fly past the 18 wheeler in the right lane and as im passing I see another random car pulling onto the interstate from the right shoulder (guess it was broken down or sum) so as im passing the 18 wheeler I have to pull to the right shoulder to pass the car thats coming onto the interstate and when that happens i look to my left and the civic was GONE, i look ahead of me in the far left lane and the civic is pulling about 5+buses lengths,not cars but BUSES:wtff: , my friend was laughing the whole damn time, i got my ass handed to me, i saw that he was getting off the interstate so i followed and he pulled over to a gas station and we chatted for a while, guy was real cool, and we both went our seperate ways
