I just got the call from VOB BMW, and they're ready for me to start making my decisions. Ironically, I just finished watching Motor Week review the car. They already have a bunch in stock (even just got a new vert!), but I'm usually pretty picky when I'm putting down big money so I'm likely going to have them find me one.
But here are the basic options...
I can get the 335i in Coupe, Sedan, or Convertible -- OR, I could get the 335ix, which has all-wheel drive, but is only available in Sedan.
I know I want a black interior, I'm not sure about color. Leaning towards the dark silver, but also like the light silver, white, and black.
OR -- I could say screw all of this, wait another year, and pick up the 08/09 M3. That's basically been my realistic dream car since high school. But it would cost me another ~$8g's, and I'm just entering the (real) workforce so I'm not sure if that's the smartest thing to do, even though I've got all the basics (house and all that) covered.
My friends are all pushing me towards the coupe/convertible, but all they care about is the pimpage -- cause I can get the sport packages and all that good stuff on those but not the Sedan. I, on the other hand, love All-Wheel Drive, and like the extra comfort of the sedan -- plus, it seems more appropriate for the professional scene. But, I haven't even told them about the M3, and that's what's really making it hard -- I am obsessing over that car, and that's even more sporty/pimp/"unfit" for my scene, and has the extra time/money problem.
Oh, and I'm heading into my senior year of college, and for some reason having a new, nice car for that year feels cool or whatever. I should be finishing up my physical therapy (haven't driven in months) right around the same time that I could get the non-M3, so the timing just seems right.
Sorry for getting all wordy, but help me out fellas... even if its just "that color looks prettiest"
