Hey look Jason Lambert is fighting, didn't he knock someone the fuck out at UFC 68?

Kimo
07-18-2007, 03:59 PM
all the title fights are booked

HW-UFC 74
LHW-UFC 75
LW-UFC 78
MW-UFC 77
WW- still unsure

Chuck is the UFC posterboy and the most popular and recognized fighter,
no way Dana makes him a undercard to someone that doesnt hold a UFC title
and is unrecognizable to the majority of the fan base

yea I believe it was Renato Sobral, but he is not beating Gouveia imo

^^it is not required, Wandy vs Chuck would have been two guys coming off of losses
just like Stout vs Fisher II was

Chuck's popularity > any TUF fighter, plus Chuck was a long time champ unlike Griffin

i see Chuck quickly KO'ing him but who knows

your right, not many are going to be very excited for this fight, but what can we do??

added Lyoto Machida vs Kazuhiro Nakamura

these cards are becoming pretty stacked, despite missing a real main event
looks like its going to be a great night of fights

more developments as to why Wanderlei turned down a fight with Chuck

he has been shunned by his former team Chute Box

Chute Box has a history of being two faced and corrupt e.i. Jose "Pele" Landi-Jons
and departures of Anderson Silva, and Assuerio Silva omong others

"when i see them walking in the streets of Brazil, they act like I dont even exist"- paraphrase of Anderson Silva

Wanderlei is now rumored to be training with UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture for both of theyre upcoming UFC bouts

UFC is slipping. With all the talent they have now, this is the main event? I know it was suppose to be LIddel Silva...but thats not happening, they dont have to keep Liddel as the mainevent. SHogun vs Griffin is more worthy. You have the 2005 Pride GP LHW champ who hasnt lost at LHW in years (Shogun) against the peoples champ (griffin)
Excuse me , but as long as the fight is in the event .. why does it even matter whats the main event ?

not every card can have a huge main event

look at UFC 70, Cro Cop vs Gonzaga

and UFC 73 Stacked was capped off with Florian vs Robinson,
for reasons nobody seems to talk about :icon_confused:

Kimo
08-17-2007, 01:47 PM
no that was Cro Cops second UFC fight

he beat Eddie Sanchez before that at UFC 67:All or Nothing

Gouveia suffers broken nose, fight called off :(

i really wanted to see him submit Jason Lambert
=/ too bad UFC decided to just cancel the fight and not find a replacement =/

Kimo
09-14-2007, 05:38 AM
well its extremely late but they just added a fight

Rich "No Love' Clementi vs Anthony Johnson

im surprised they are giving Clementi another shot (he is 1-3 in the UFC) but im glad because i like the guy

Johnson was supposed to fight Jess Liaudin at UFC 75 but was injured, he owns a 14 second KO in one UFC fight against Chad Reiner.

No Love FTW!!

KtodaC

Tyson Griffin and Thiago Tavarez receive "Fight of The Night" honors along with a $40,000 bonus check each

Forrest Griffin wins "Submission of The Night" and $40k

Despite it being UFC 76:Knockout
there was no KO's Saturday night, so nobody receives "Knockout of The Night" =9

here are the paydays: http://mmajunkie.com/2007/09/25/ufc-76-salaries-chuck-liddell-earns-500000-jardine-gets-14000/
(Chuck makes $500,000, Jardine $14,000)

$500,000 fighter

Kimo

Chuck would not have received a win bonus but i do believe he gets Pay Per View incentives like Tito Ortiz??
