thanks, i guess geocities is down right now, anywhere else i can upload pics? as far as the heads go, yeah theyre advertised to flow 350cfm out of the box but actually flow closer to 345cfm, but the victor intake match usually brings it up to 350-360cfm. Once you go big block, its incredible the numbers they put out so easily (valve lifts at .600 is mild, mid .700's are common now and 270-280 duration cams @.050, 292cc heads are the "small" street stuff, and intake valve sizes STARTING @ 2.19"!) , it makes the small block stuff look miniscule, and dont forget you can go all the way to 557 cubic inches without any block clearancing at all and the common BBF block is SAFE for around 800HP and stroker kits are only about $1400 balanced. These are stock port location heads (meaning no custom headers needed), but you can get heads for the BBF that flow over 400cfm BEFORE any port work is done!

yup thats what i like about big blocks pretty easy to get a lot of hp out of them. That freaking duration is a lot i bet it lopes like crazy. Are u going to run NA or ur planning nitrous or FI?

i hope so, enough to kill some Supras.......from a roll even :effyou: also im gonna get some wider pro stars in the back and run some ET Streets or Hoosier QTP's for the races that really matter, from a STOP/DIG.

300hp, or 700hp...supras always seem to run 12's lol...you should be able to hang with em. Nothing sounds like a carb'd big block....it will sound insane :)

^^my thoughts exactly, and also big block would have awesome top end but from a DIG man you will murder them. If you having some problems with some cars its nothing a little juice cant fix:-D

i will be running a c6 actually. probably around 3500 stall. Not sure about a line lock or trans brake or whatever, im not very well versed in "tranny talk" how do those work and would you think its something that would help me out?

I never really heard of line lock but most people specially with big blocks use trans brakes, it pretty much lets u have ur engine rpm's up pretty high without having to hold the break and then u just press the bottom n it realese the trans brake and u lunch like a raped monkey.hah

i dont know where i pulled "line lock" out of but i thought i heard that term before LOL guess it doesnt exist :) as far as transbrake,i think imma skip on that then, as far as i love drag racing, im not THAT serious about it,im sure ill have ample traction problems due to a less than perfect suspension setup, which i think is more important than spending the extra coin on a transbrake.

yea i think u should get some suspension stuff first since ur a convertable, ur body is going to flex more and going to be hard to get traction so suspension would be the next thing u should do.
