How do i copy a DVD movie onto a blank DVD??

K i wanna get a DVD burner but i wanna know if it will be possible for me to
back up my DVD movies onto a blank DVD (just like copying a music CD onto a CD-r)...what
type of DVD burner should i look for in order to do this and what programs would i need???

very easy to do - just get dvd x
copy - it will resize the video for you and everything so it fits perfect on a blank
dvd.

Any dvd-r will work just make sure its 4x or higher
