Gesias "JZ" Calvancanti of American Top Team, who recently destroyed Nam Phan at K-1 Dynamite!!USA, suffered injuries in his K-1 Max bout with Masato, forcing him out of the first round of the Lightweight Grand Prix. He was set to face up and comer Andre "Dida" Amade of Chute Box.

As the defending GP champion, JZ was instead seeded into the semi finals, however he does not have a unfair advantage because it has just been announced that he will be taking on brazillian stand out Vitor "Shaolin" Ribiero. The fight is going to be one for the ages, a huge clash of top tier fighters.

Also announced Caol Uno and Kultar Gill will dance again. Uno submitted Gill in the first fight. Gill's last two wins are stoppages over Hideo Tokoro.

And finaly upstart Ralek Gracie takes on the colorful Ikuhisa Minowa

so what are your picks?

I go with Shaolin, although JZ is going to be all over him with punches, i think Vitor should hold his own

I think Uno's jiu-jitsu will prevail again, and Minowa is going to be too much for this rookie Gracie

there was also another fight announced, i read it an hour ago but i cant remember who ?? =/
