When i drink..

Apparently, when i drink i can be a real asshole and say really hurtful stuff to whomeva is around .. :-(

The thing is, i dont mean most of the stuff i say... If i meant it, then fair enough, but i dont mean hardly any of it..

I've now decided i'm going to go 30 days without drinking

Question is, what should i do after those 30 days?

Usually when i go out (like last night) I have 2 different keycards in my wallet, one keycard has the money i can spend, another keycard has my savings in it (a shitload of money), usually when i start drinking, i withdraw from my savings, so as of now, i'm leaving that card at home!

Drinking ruined my last relationship (with my first love) and i dont want it to ruin my current relationship

Just wondering if any1 else has/had a drinking problem and ifso, what did you do/have you done about it?

I've had and still have a drinking problem, I've had one for a little over 5 years. It's good you realize you have a problem, for a very long time, I was in denial about the whole thing. Once you know you have a problem it seems easier to try and control and get help with. I had problems with drugs too, BIG problems, like if I would have stayed on the path I was on I'd be dead in an alley somewhere becuase of an overdose. I got that problem under control, and now it's time to work on the alcohol. I don't have any grand words of wisdom other than you know you have a problem, and you can fix it, anyone can overcome addiction if they want to, people that say you can't don't try hard enough.

Damn KP, I'm feeling what u saying. I've said/done some fucked up things while drunk & I'm not 1 of those that 4get, so that has helped me try 1 maintain my drinking. I got tired of feeling bad as fuck from remembering things I have done/said 2 people & seeing that u can't take back anything u've done. I still drink but school has helped me calm it down a lot 4 real. I've fallen, but I have recognized it & that shits going 2 stop b4 it gets worse. It is so good 2 c the problem we have; that way we know that we have a very good chance @ getting/doing better. I hope the best 4 u sweetheart :-) . I'm sure u know that having a solid support system is good, so if u ever want 2 drop a sista a line or whatever when u need that extra push, just send ya girl a shout ;-)

I'm calm and cool when I drink and when I don't. I don't have a drinking problem , I drink to the point of buzz and I just keep it for a lil while and if i think i've had enough then that's that. I drink in moderation. last night we finished a bottle of bacardi gold haha i'm feeling it.. If you can drink in moderation then you'll be fine. Same thing with Marijuana. Every once in a while doesn't hurt. Every fucking day is a problem though , glad i'm off of that. Just do everything in moderation dude.

I'm not blaming anything on alcohol..

It's my fault, but it only happens when i drink alcohol, however i am the one which chooses to drink the alcohol, but NOT ANYMORE :-)

I'm usually fine when i'm getting a little buzzed, but on friday night, i went WAYYYYY beyond the buzz.. i spent $350.. It's now 4am Monday morning and i still don't feel 100%

I went thru this period a while back where i couldnt control how much i drank and no doubt 4 times a week i would pass out.. I just don't wanna do that again

Went to the club after work tonight, and i didnt drink :-) Was very proud of myself!! :-D

Im a champion when I drink, Lots of hugs, and songs with the boys, its always funny, I've only ever hurt someone once when I was drunk, and I ment too, I was drunk at work(*shakes head at stupidity*) and I called her fat, and alot of stuff like that, however as time wore on, I became a champion for that night, as everyone realised that chick was a bitch, but, Ive decided to stop drinking as much, as I wanna get healtheir and fitter, and yeah, I had an awesome time with my mates, but being drunk, going home and feeling like im flying, felt like I should stop

Listen dc drinkings cool man don't trip just get a handle on it set ur limits example how much u going to drink. Keep it ocassional like every fortnight or month or sumthin, when ur drinkin remember that little voice that says i've had enuff is usually correct. U can always go on a health binge and get in the gym eat proply and all that good stuff (blah). Call me if u have the erge for a drink i know a good place all spirits $3 but nah stay away.
