In the July/August edition of Sly Magazine, Hulk Hogan offered some candid words on fellow wrestlers The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

On the subject of his movie career, Hogan explained that he's actually more successful than The Rock:

"Compared to the success that Brad Pitt or Arnold Schwarzenegger have had, people probably thought I had a run of B movies that sucked. But those movies were cheap to make and they generated a lot of revenue. If you watch what my movies made against what The Rock's movies are doing now, taking into account changing ticket prices and how many more theaters his movies were shown in, I still generated more revenue than he did."

While Hogan believes a match with Steve Austin could do big business, he's not sure if the two click enough to perform the match. He also had some less-than-flattering words for those under the impression that Austin is a star of his caliber:

"Austin has been in the business about 18 years and he was on top for four. I wrestled main events for 25 years. I could pull my dick out and I might be on top for four years - it's called 'cheap heat.' Somebody who stays on top 25 years has to have more than that. It has to be in your spirit."

although his comments about The Rock's movie career compared to his make him sound a tad bit jealous, i will agree with his comment about Stone Cold. not cause i don't like Austin, cause i do find him entertaining, but because it's true. Stone Cold ruled the ring for about 5 years during his long career, while Hogan headlined and starred in the ring since the early 80s.

Hmmm I think Austin could have been on top just a little longer, but he got injured remember... If that match in SummerSlam never happened, I'm pretty sure Stone Cold would still be the main eventer...

^^ he wouldn't last long enough though. Hogan began headlining main events when i was born in 83, and even a little before that. even when he jumped from WWF to WCW, the man was still headlining. then he disappeared and showed up after a few years to the WWF again and he was headlining again. he left again for a bit, now he's back for "ONE MORE MATCH" which HBK and the fans pleaded for, and now he's headlining RAW and Pay-Per-Views still. "ONE MORE MATCH" looks like it has become "ONE MORE RUN"!!!

if anyone is bigger than the business, it is Hulk Hogan.

wrestlers who, from when i followed WWF religiously, did the best things for the industry and are in a league of their own are: Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, The Ultimate Warrior, The Undertaker, Bret Hart, and Shawn Micheals. those names are always in main events and main attraction matches. no matther who they faced, they were always main events.
