Anyways, yeah that is an interesting question. Never thought about that though. I wouldn't be surprised. I'd watch out on the 16th as well. Some say that the middle numbers is actually questionable. I think that the most common belief is that it might have originally been a 1 in the middle. So I think it'd say a lot if if they chose the 16th.=-/
I don't know what's going on, and I don't know how the US plans to EVER end this. And I don't know how they plan to ever end this either. Neither side is going to back down. Both sides to running into suicide missions, yet one side doesn't seem to really care. For lack of better words, the will of man is .... interesting.
But no, I wouldn't be surprised. And for the sake of everyone, I hope they don't. I just wish all sides were sane enough to find a middle ground.

I like how you all think they write on caves and shit, if that was truew the war would be over, and you guys wouldnt of lost the twin towers, and millions of lives(you love going on about it) give them credit for intelligence, they have fucked you over, and you havent really gotten them back yet, it always better to overestimate your opponent then underestimate

Interesting comment.. Reguardless of the fact that it was a few thousand people who were murdered on 9/11 (you said millions) it doesn't matter.. People were killed and that's a horrific tragedy that doesn't seem to faze you.. "You (Americans) Love going on about it(911/deaths)" - Hmm, I don't know if YOU know this but a few thousand deaths is quite alot.. The largest death toll on American soil in one day to be exact. I'm sure that's MORE THAN ENOUGH reason to bring it up in conversation.. "They have fucked you over and you haven't gotten them back yet"..Personally that statement sounds like it came from the mouth of a 10 year old.. but none the less another interesting statement.. I personally don't think the U.S. is doing enough to catch Bin-laden and his regime of terrorists but we have made some progress.. I'm curious, where are you from?
As for 9/11 and 7/7 - I think it's coincidence.

Sorry to disagree but Gambino has a point. I see where you're coming from as an american, but I'm sure he doesn't have the same feelings about it as we do. Just like we don't have the same feelings as the English about what happened in london. You can't really expect him to feel as strongly, as most people wouldn't.
His point didn't seem to be to knock the US, but more so.... that people are being very ignorant calling the "terrorists" "cave dwellers", when obviously.... they're reasonably intelligent if they're giving the US a run for their money.
And I agree. Just because they're from the middle east and MIGHT not be walking around with ipods and laptops doesn't mean that they're any less intelligent or any less educated. And even more than that... lol... it's very likely that plenty of them are walking around with laptops. Of course I disagree with their actions but they're obviously not too dumb. I just felt there were racist undertones to that statement, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
But you're right to have strong feelings about it. I just don't think it's fair to expect Gambino to have the same ones. I know most americans didn't feel the same way about london as they did about 9/11. Although they're all very tragic and disturbing events... it is a little different when your country is directly underfire. I don't think he was trying to belittle the events... sounded more to me like he was just responding to those underestimating the educations of those that have us in such tizzy.

"Armageddon"
My heavenly father's children. The time has come for
judgement, Armageddon. False prophets never blend in. For we are revelation
angels descending for our sins. No need to pretend
For providin' me oxygen, I loved since I began. Prayin' to wash away my sins.
Babylon the Great, has fallen
Offsprings of the wicked one, crawlin'. Fearin' that their Lord is callin'
Bless these seeds of the Almighty.
Destination of the infamous.
Bless these seeds of the Almighty.
Destination of any earth.
Armageddon. The end is comin'
You better get ready. Oh, Armageddon.
And there shall be great earthquakes
and the sun becomes as black as sack cloth and the moon as blood.
And the stars of heaven shall fall unto the earth, even as a fig tree
casts her untimely figs when she is shaken of the mighty wind. And the heavens
the heavens will depart as a scroll when it is rolled together.
And every mountain and island will move out of their places.
And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men
and the ship captains, and the mighty men, and every bond-man
and every free man shall hide themselves in the dens and in the
rocks of the mountains. And shall say to the mountain and the rocks,
"Fall on us, fall on us and hide us from the face of him that sit
upon the throne and from the wrath of the lamb, for the great day
of his wrath has come" And who shall be able to stand? Who shall
be able to stand? Who shall be able to stand?

I kinda agree with gambino......I mean I think the huge problem was the US underestimated what the terrorists were capable of doing. As horrible as 9/11 was, the intelligence they displayed in doing this amazes me. They had everything mapped out so perfectly to carry out their plan and the US was caught off guard.
But thats also why I dont think anything major like this will ever happen again. 9/11 certainly got our attention and now i would be surprised if we ever get caught off guard or underestimate them again.
I can just remember comming outta class and hearing people talking about it. I thought at first it was some big joke. I thought there was noway that could happen. Then we decided to go up to the top floor of the libary to see if we could get a look at what happened.......next thing u know.....another plane hits the second building. Everyone was just in shock at what happened.
I doubt the US government would allow something like this to happen again. I fully believe this could have been prevented beforehand had we just paid more attention to terrorism.

I couldn't give 2 fucks about the twin towers. Bush and the government knew about that shit before it happened, and that's what america gets for electing that dipshit.

I honestly believe that alot of people in america dont vote not because they dont care about who their president is, but because there never seems to be a candiate thats good enough. I dont understand people who say "well i'll vote for him because i dont like the other guy"....so basically they are just voting for the lesser of the two evils.
I didnt vote. Not because I dont care, but because I didnt like bush or kerry. And I dont see why you should vote if you dislike all the candiates.
Gravity
08-14-2005, 08:51 AM
LOL... like I said "lesser of two evils". I didn't dislike Kerry, but I did dislike Bush. No, I wasn't crazy about Kerry, but I felt like... Bush already had his turn to screw up and maybe Kerry might actually do some good.
The thing is though, politicians are always going to politic. There's always going to be another agenda when they get THAT high up at least. You can't trust everything they say they're going to do, and really it is the luck of the draw with any candidate. Like the governor of Illinois. He talked a good game, but when he got into office it was a completely different story. And he's one person I can honestly say I dislike more than Bush lol.
But I do think it's important to vote even if you're not crazy about either or any of the candidates. Why? Because you're having a say in the decision. It's like... would you rather have another 4 years of the same crap you just dealt with or would you rather take a gamble to possibly come out with something better.
And personally, I voted for a chance at something better. :-)
I agree that a lot of people probably don't vote simply because they don't like either candidate. But... I also think a lot of people don't vote because they don't think it would do any good. A lot of people feel that their votes don't REALLY count. I felt the same way for awhile too. But... I'd rather take the little time out of my day every now and then to voice an opinion that may be heard than to not do anything at all.
