I need to do an oral presentation and a 4 page argumentative paper on a subject that is related to my field of study. Since I'm in the science program I need to talk about issues concerning science which are two sided. Like global warming, stem cells.

Any ideas?

Global Warming and Stem Cell Research.

I think those are the two most under-talked about subjects there are.

All that have been said are really good.

Creationism vs Darwins Theory of Natural Selection is really good, get some good quotes from what the pope said about Darwin's Theory, also could focus on the age of the Earth (Creationists say it is merely thousands of years old, science says billions of years old)

Embryonic Stem Cells is an excellent topic also, i actually talked at great length with my year 10 class about this topic and they were real interested

Theory of the formation of the universe - The Steady State Theory vs The Big Bang

Alternative Energy Resources, are they viable?

Robotics - will people lose their jobs?

Plasma vs LCD (Very scientifically relevant if you read up on the physics)

My favourite though would be:

Is it possible there are other forms of intelligent life in the universe? DO ALIENS EXIST?

I'm in class right now and chose to do it on stem cell research. Imma rep you guys when I have the time.

The evolution vs creationism isn't really good because the only think supporting creationism is religious books which are not scientifically accurate and that video of a dude saying that a banana is the reason why creationism is a fact. (lol)
