We are going to try something new. I am trying to get this section of the board not only more active but a lot safer when it comes to transactions. The board is not responsible for any transactions that go bad, but I feel that the safer I can make it for all of you the better it will be. Once the word gets out that there are more precautions and a buyers and sellers rating system so you know exactly who you’re dealing with, then the more people will come into this forum. The more people in this forum could possibly mean more money for your items.
There is going to be a more standard way of creating threads in this forum. Everyone and I mean everyone needs to stick to these guidelines or their threads will be deleted, no questions asked. From now on I will approve or disapprove each thread created. This means that if the threads not right it won’t be approved. This will make it better and easier for every member of the board to understand what is going on in each thread. Here are the guidelines…
1)You need to choose the appropriate THREAD TAG
2)Your title needs to be as specific as possible
3)The description of what you are selling or buying needs to be precise and accurate.
4) In your description you need to specify what amount you are looking to spend or receive including shipping. Obviously this can change while the sale is going on. I want everyone to at least know what price they might be looking at so I don’t get those stupid offers that everyone hates to see.
5)Also in your description you need to specify how payment will be made or accepted. Either by PayPal, Check, Money Order, or Cashiers’ Check. This way people aren’t wasting their time trying to find out.
6) Include where you are willing to ship items, whether it be just the United States, Canada, Worldwide, etc.
7) You have to include a picture of the item you are selling. This is to be at the bottom of your post. That way everyone can see the item and we are more comfortable that this is in fact a legit thread. This also applies when trying to sell an item to a member who made a thread looking to buy that item. If a picture isn’t posted then that post will be deleted.
8)If you are posting the item on Ebay as well, please choose the Ebay THREAD TAG and include the link in your description. However anyone who posts an Ebay link needs to notify me by PM that their auction has ended so that I can remove the link and properly mark the thread. If you don’t I will no longer allow Ebay links in Bone Thugs Exchange.
9)The last guideline is that all negotiating be done via posts. This allows everyone to see the prices and gives others a chance to jump in. This is a trial to see how it goes. While this is in effect, if I find out that members are sending PM’s instead of posting you will be BANNED from Bone Thugs Exchange. So Don’t Do It.
*There is a buyers and sellers thread which is stickied where I will keep a running total of positive transactions for each member that has completed one. This way anyone who is unsure of their buyer or seller can look on these lists and see if they have completed positive transactions in the past. This is sort of going to be like an Ebay thing, where members are going to have a number next to their name and that will represent their positive transactions. Once they reach certain numbers then they will also have stars next to their name too. The stars breakdown the following way...
