Never Mister…Again
I’m tired of being friends
Not that I don’t value our friendship
Or would rather be friendless
But when your female friend list
Is seemingly endless
And your girlfriend status
Is – apparently absent.
It forces you to end this
Current approach.
And end with the likeness
Allocated to niceness
That attracts girls to like this
Guy in the sense:
“He’s like a brother to me,”
Or
“Oh, he’s my favorite white boy,”
Or
“He’s just a good friend.”
On a side note,
If you think those pertains to you –
Well it may be true,
But I doubt it cause I’ve heard it
From more than just one of you.
But let me again extend
How tired I am of being friends.
And let me speak
On those few loose ends.
First –
“He’s like a brother to me”
No, I’m not your brother
And I don’t need another
Wannabe sister
When I wanna be with her
So I’m not gonna be Mister
Big Brother to Lil Sister.
Second –
“Oh, he’s my favorite white boy”
So I’m white
Defined by skin all my life
But I’m more than just light
I’m the light to remind
You that I refuse to be Mister
Light Skinned Best White Friend.
Finally –
“He’s just a good friend”
No, I’m more than a good friend
I’m a good man with a great pen
A betting man
Betting I’m better than your best man
And will never again be Mister
Who’s Him, Just a Friend.
Let me reiterate –
I will NEVER be Mister
Big Brother to Lil Sister
Light Skinned Best White Friend
Who’s Him, Just a Friend
Again.
