CANCELLED.

I literally JUST got off the phone with FOX Studios in Los Angeles,
CA. I asked outright about the upcoming live action Dragonball/Z movie.

This is exactly
what I was told by my contact:

"The Dragonball Z movie? We don't have that. I 've
got a lot of calls about that so I called around [the studio]. We won't be making that
[movie]."

So there you have it, folks. That is the OFFICIAL story from FOX. I know
some of you may be disappointed, but I also think it's a blessing.

I decided to follow up a bit more
regarding the rumored live action Dragonball/Z movie. One persistant rumor has been that
"George Lucas' CGI company ILM has signed a contract to do the special
effects."

Today I called Ellen Pasternack, Public Relations for ILM. I asked her if the
rumor was true; if ILM was brought on board to provide the special effects for the Dragonball/Z
live action movie. Ms. Pasternack's reply was that it had been mentioned, but ILM never
officially signed off on anything and it never came to be. She also commented that, as far as
she knows, the film is not being made.

The news are definitely shocking, but I agree
with Kyle: it's a blessing. DBZ would have been destroyed in the movie. Keep in mind that no
official statement has been released by 20th Century Fox, but these news come from a
trustworthy source. Also, remember that FUNimation had nothing to do with the movie, so
don't expect any comments on the situation from them. If anything further develops, we'll
keep you informed.

I Would have liked to see this movie even if it wasn't
as good as the show. How could it be worst than 3 weeks of talking in the mountains and 2

good thing cuz dbz has fell off long ago cuz of cartoon network showin reruns of the same shit
like 5 times a year and the only way ppl will watch any dragonball series is if they buy the tape

to the last point u made about db hurtin, take a prime example, mortal
kombat annialation or however u spell it, it came out when mk was falling off, dont get me
wrong, but u cant say when ppl were ask what was the best mk at that time they will say part 3
and wont think of part 2. most ppl would say 2 was WAY better than 3 and annihilation was
mostly based on 3 now mk annihlation debuted well but FLOPPED and after that, mortal
kombat didnt come on top until deadly alliance now how many years did that take lol even
though mk trilogy was the shit

and u say a db movie will be somethin new? HA! look at
what they did to fist of the north star (they killed it witht he movie) look at crying freeman (that
movie tight) look at all those anime to film movies ....so this aint somethin new and 90% of the
anime to film movies SUCKED the main ones that did was the one based on ppl runnin around

far as ive see mario dont come up as much anymore and
no one knows about solid snake and sephiroth that just die hard gamers? thats an
understatement you would be suprised how many non gamers know them, especially solid
snake some might not know snake by the name, but show a pic of him i betcha i changes. and
i didnt say the movie made mk fall off I SAID anihalation was released WHEN MK WAS
FALLING OFF! and i would assume ppl would know y so i aint say it it was cuz of 3d platform
games and the popularity of sports games growing. mk4 did well BUT to midway's
expectations, it didnt do well. and dbz can still do bad in the us when the company that owns it
still is milkin the muthafucka, comin out wit toys, games, all that shit, it still can fall off and it did
BECAUSE of constant reruns and ppl buying tapes so they know what happened and have no
need to watch dbz, its still popular, but nowhere near as popular in its prime in america, why?
CUZ IT FELL, and today, now the movie would flop because for one, all of the dragonball
series is considered tame by today's anime standards, and what movie in america that got ppl
shootin powers and shit besides the first mortal kombat did well here, ONLY ONE DID! and
the first mk barely had the use of powers compared to part 2!

point is, dbz would have
flopped now cuz they took so long to plann the damn movie out when they had plenty of
chances to drop it at the height of its popularity.

I'm still hoping we do
get a DBZ movie. There's still a chance it will be released. I don't see why cancel it now. I
think there's still a strong of a following out there. Kind of like the GI Joe live movie and the
Transformers live movies that will be released within the next few years.
