i want to ask you man which one do you think is the best i downloaded a free version of cool edit and it seemed extremely difficult to use .

i need help someone please tell me how to play the track and record my vocals at the same time using cool edit

in cool edit make sure you are in the multitrack view and load the instrumental into the top track
arm the second track to record and press record

Cool edit doens't allow you to monitor the signal going in, if you want live monitoring try another program
