Im going back into my vault as i call my Cd Collection and i went back and listened To "Be" and wow:wtff:. I forgot how good this album is with tracks like Be, Go, Chi City and The Food this is one of Hip-Hops 100 must own albums.

Common has become my favorite rapper and I know a lot of people really like this album, but to be honest it's actually one of my least liked Common albums. It has a few undeniable bangers but...iunno...it just seems to be lacking that special something in order to make me really like it.

I dont know what yall are talkin about, I think Finding Forever is tighter than Be those 2 and Resurrection are his best albums...The Corner is the tightest track on Be.

Universal Mind Control was a huge disappointment, I bought it, listened to it once and shelved it.

...I would agree. Finding Forever is gold, IMO. The only album I still do not have of Common's is UMC. As you all know I love Common, but found it hard to buy the album based on the fact I have yet to hear 1 positive thing about the album.

I think my favorite track on there is "Faithful"...I love the concept of that song...the album is definitely classic..

u niggas are crazy BE is sick as fuck, FINDING FOREVER was okay but too poppy at times "the game" was the illest track there, that song with lilly allen was horrible.

the ONLY flaw in BE is its too short, but when i 1st bought that cd, i was bobbing my head smiling the whole way thru, something i have not done since.

Be is amazing, it's just too short. Faithful and Chi City are my next two favorites, but I've had Chi City as my ringtone for like 6 months now so I'm sick of it. =/

Be had a few more good tracks than Finding Forever, but the tight songs on FF are tighter than the tight songs on Be, which is why I like the album more....The People, The Game, U Black Maybe, even I Want You are all classic plus the others...Those 2 albums are the ones I listen to the most from him.

...I would agree. Finding Forever is gold, IMO. The only album I still do not have of Common's is UMC. As you all know I love Common, but found it hard to buy the album based on the fact I have yet to hear 1 positive thing about the album.

i dunno i think he makes cds the way they should be made- 10-13 songs only. once you go above 15 its just TOO MUCH, unless its a double album. Because once you get above 15 its all sucky interludes that i dont give a shit about. i mean, most Roots cds only have between 10-14 songs and they make some of the best music the world has ever listened to.
