for some it may be a wonderful thing to look forward to! but to others that may not be the case, maybe cos they dont wanna grow up, or maybe because they havent got many childhood memrories to take into adulthood!! or is it because they had to learn to be a man at a young age, had to deal wit responsiblities which makes them think 18 is just another number!!
does it mean anything to you??

When i turned 18, I still had a full year of highschool left. The only thang that changed was I was able to buy blunts legally.. thats about it.

18 felt just like 15 and 16 and 17..........it doesnt feel any different to me. Just more responsibility as your life goes on. :)

well considering I could do all that legal stuff, it was kinda a big deal, on my birthday the only legal thing I did was sign up at the video store under my own name, lol. I didn't plan on getting drunk, I already had done that at 17 =/
But I think 21 is a big deal, that's what I'm turning soon, you are no longer a teenager, yet you aren't really an adult, you're a young adult.
It's true though, it's nothing but a number, but as long as you recognise you have reponsibilities and look after those responsibilities, you can act as young as you want. There's this lady who's 45, she is totally awesome, she's got teenage kids, is still fully in love with her husband and her kids are great, have good heads on their shoulders. When I talk to her, it's like I'm talking to a girl friend around my age, but she isn't dumb that she does stupid things teenagers tend to do. She's my inspiration and when I'm 45, I don't want to forget who I am and what makes me laugh.

Being older sucks. I remember having summer vacation and playing outside with my friends everyday. Now I work every day...

Yeah it's no different really, just knowing that you're even more responsible for stuff now and not a lil kid and people don't treat you like one. Once you hit 18 the birthdays come and go to fast.

When I turned 18, it really didn't matter to me. Aside from knowing I had to be extra careful about the girls I fucked from then on.
I just turned 21 today, i feel old, but atleast I can buy booze, eventho im not a big drinker, it's nice to have the option.

Yea...it's a fact. Life sucks when you're not a kid. It's a fuckin struggle just to live properly now.
But for those that still enjoy life....turning 18 aint shit. Turning 21 can be really fun.....until you wake up the next day and realize that the Harrah's casino and some stripper at the hustler club have about 90% of the money that was in your checking account.

when u turn 18 ur an adult (in Australia) therefore when u get caught doing a crime... they fuck u ova. i found out the hard way. my mate was only 17 then, so he got off ezy wit comm service....thats a fucked up difference when u turn 18. Other than that, its all tha same. I mean u can go strippers, drink legally, go clubz rah rah rah rah rah. But once u turn 18, n the excitement of doing legal things die down, every day is the same. Like Krayzie said, birthdays come and go.

I looked forward to 18, but when it got here I was like "EH". I did have a little worry about getting older though. At the same time, I was interested in my new found adulthood. LOL... because it was like... I was grown, but I was still a teenager.
LOL TWENTY was the killer for me. LOL... I was not a happy camper. I was no longer a teenager. The point of no return. lol
