Let's be clear, Felicia Howse is the 1st Lady of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony! End of that discussion! Her track record speaks for itself! Her major smash "So Good,"
not only marks her place in history with Bone but it marks her place in music history. Many music lovers accross the world don't realize that her HIT song serves as the blueprint for every HIT song that Mariah Carey has ever recorded, since she heard Felicia's Song missile and copied/borrowed/used her vocal style ever since!!! Felicia is clearly an unsung hero, for now!!! When the "Brand Engine" is done, the world will know how special this musical genius by the name of Felicia Howse is!!!

Felicia is currently in Atlanta working on her new album (Before My Time!) and it sounds amazing! Her album is slated for a 2010 release via New Trin Inc/Mo Thugs Records. She will be returning to Los Angeles in the next 14 days to complete her work on the "UNI5 - The Worlds Enemy" L.P. She will also be producing & writing for another artist who is also the subject of this letter. That artist is "Phaedra." Felicia has one of the best songwriting pen's in the music industry and this is why we hired her to work with Phaedra!!!

Which brings me to Phaedra.

Phaedra Butler is simply another dynamic female Songstress in her own right! She has contributed some very key songwriting/vocals/production work on the "UNI5 - The World's Enemy album! Nothing in music is more important than the Song and she clearly delivered the content that got the respect from the people who matter most,Bone & the Fan Family!!! Phaedra is not trying to be and never will be the First Lady of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony!! She respects and admires the work of the woman who invented her own style that many adore. That woman is Felicia Howse!!

Its good that you respect her as an artist. Especially her being part of the bone camp for over a decade. But serioously, if she was that great and her husband being layzie bone. SDhe would have gotten recognized for her great talent. she is talented but isn't great. And for the guy to say Mariah learned from her is just insane. Nobody is bashing her, everyone respects and loves her. She really hasn't donme nothing to be called a great artist, let alone for him to say she is the reason why Mariah is as successful as she is. Well, Mariah Carey has openly admitted to being influenced by Bone Thugs. She's acknowledged them many times over the years. So you know, whether she borrowed or used the style, she doesn't hide where she got it from.

As for Felecia, maybe Bobby is right. Maybe "All Good" is the song that influenced Mariah to begin with. Let me repeat the word MAYBE again. BUT, I think it's fair to say that Mariah took it and made it her own. Look at all the billboard hits she's had since then.

I like Felecia. I always enjoyed her guest spots with Bone. I even enjoyed her solo track on "Mo Thugs IV: The Movement". But let's face it, that solo track on MT4 is the first ever and only solo track to date she's had on any album. Every other time, she was a feature vocalist on a Bone/Mo Thugs track. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard her on a song without a Bone member on it. Not to say she hasn't record any solo tracks before, they just never made it to the mainstream albums Bone's released.

Bottom line, Mariah's always acknowledged Bone Thugs as an influence and Brand Engine has one hell of a job to do if they want to bring Felecia to Mariah Carey's level; ONE HELL OF A JOB!!!!

As for Phaedra, I heard her on one of the videos Bobby Francis posted on Facebook and I think she has a great voice. I'm looking forward to hearing her with Bone.

I also don't see a reason to compare her with Felecia. I think there is enough room for the both of them to be part of the Bone music.

Mariah Carey's "Breakdown" came out 1997 and she has already stated she got that style from Bone thugs, and that they are influential to her music.

Felecia's "ALL GOOD" song, came out 1998 with the release of the Family Reunion.

Now whether the song "All Good" was made first and just released later, that's a good speculation seeing how Bone is with release dates.

But you can't say that every HIT Mariah has had is because of Felecia. Why? Because 1 Mariah had many more hits before that time AND not all her hits sound the same.

Felecia is talented don't get me wrong. But Mariah is on a whole other level, and Felecia just can't compete with that, and shouldn't. Just let Felecia be her own. Just as Bone has been Bone, and not copy the popular shit.

Besides... I still think Lareece has been the better female Bone Affiliate.
