I dont know man. There is a lot of racism b/w Mexican Americans and Mexicans though. Some Mexicans have "assimilated" so much into white society that they are looked down upon by their own kind, or turn racesist on their own people. But Mexican moms dont really like black people, and Asians....

mostly hatred towards people form east europe (albanians, yugoslawians, turkish people), towards blacks (mostly africans..swiss love them thai girls = /), some still hate the germans but thats just old people who say this often and cant really do shit to them.

strange is that actually we let everybody in our country, and suddenly some party said there are too much, they all on wellfare, etc. so the party tried to manipulate people to hate strangers, which shows off like that when you ask a swiss what he/she thinks about strangers they say:" well, I dont like it that they work for such a low income, because they take away our jobs".

we have over 20% strangers in our country.
we have nazi parties organized and the local politicians tolerate that (freedom of speech and right to demonstrate are in constitutional rules)
we have the debate weater racist symbols should be banned (f.i. the Hakenkreuz, etc) and couple of parties say no, because "that wouldnt really help solving the problem and its too expensive"


still, racism isnt shown as portrayed by you american guys. there is no gangs, no public violence.. they burn asylum homes at night, etc

me personally. I do not care what ethnics/religion/beliefs a person has. Only think I cant stand is when I have a problem and I need specialized help and the other dude (in real life/on the phone) cant really understand me or cant explain because he/she isnt able to speak the language(s) (we have 4 national languages) properly. I guess my reaction is quite normal, but it has nothing to do with hatred or w/e, how could it be, both my parents werent swiss too but they managed to raise their kids in the national language :).

Yeah for sure racism is a problem in this country. It really sucks because its just uneducated hatred to something deferent. It’s a real problem we have here in America. If a celebrity isn't doing it or it isn't "normal" it's wrong and stupid. I don't get it, how do you evolve with out change. I think this country needs more of an open mind and more respect. We don't respect deference’s in people or uneekness. Everyone just sticks with what others do or except. Its every ware, if your this color you should wear this and do that it's so unoriginal thinking. Plus blacks still don't get much help in this society. People just don't realize what it's like to be in others shoes. It takes some help to rise out of the bottom. Its allot easier with some support and guidance. Some don't have that luxury. I’m a mix myself and seem to be always on the outside looking in on other races and it seems we all have the same problem with accepting differences instead of embracing them.

I feel there is abit of a racism problem over here, it has been blown WAY out of proportion by the media though


I myself am not racist, i have friends of all different colors and nationalities.. I have never had an aboriginal friend though.. Dunno why, i have never even met an aboriginal. Not very many around where i live

I used to live at Redfern. Had a handful of Aboriginal friends. They got it hard man that's all I can say. Now I live around the Liverpool area so I lost communication with most of them over time.

Trust me I know a bit more about germans than you do , I live in Berlin among millions of germans and thousands of foreigners and racism aint that big here... Berlin is full of turkish , polish and russian people believe it or not but we get along quite well ( with a few exceptions of course but there will allways be ignorant / stupid people regardless of their origin ).We arent nazis and I hope sometime you`ll realize that most of those prejudices are outdated or plain wrong. There are more nazis in america than here... lol its 06 and some guys still hold us responsible for all the shit that happened more than 60 years ago.

racism over here is more shown in small things like how people look at foreigners.

a friend told me a great story once. he was in the train, lots of people around. also a nicely dressed black dude. now the dude who checks the tickets comes.
when he arrived at the seat of the black dude, he checked all the other guests first, turned to the dude and said "sooo does the nigger("Negerlein") have a ticket too?" black dude opens his jacket, made no faces and gave the controlleur his ticket. after that he said "wait a minute, I wanna show you another thing" and he grabed his money pocket and pulled out his lawyer license, saying "I am a lawyer, the other train guests are the witnesses and you are gonna be the accused one." story had me rollin :rofl:
