Hey everyone, I need help. I think my friend might be pregnant. She told me that her boyfriend "put it in her", and it hurt her, so "he took it out". He didnt wear any protection, and she didnt tell me how long he was inside her, so....she might be.....pregnant.
I heard that there is a certain period of time where girls can have sex w/o protection, and NOT get pregnant. Is this true?

ummm, just cause he put it in her doesn't mean she's pregnant. Did he cum inside her?
Yes there is a period of time when a girl can't get pregnant, that's when she isn't ovulating which is NORMALLY right after her period, but even then it's not for certain.
If she's real scared, she should go to the Doctor, get a freaking blood test (this guy didn't use protection, what if he had some STI?!) AND get a pregnancy test.
If he didn't cum inside her then there isn't really a problem... except I've been told pre-cum can get a girl pregnant =/

I dont think he cummed inside her b/c she would have told me, but I am sure a little bit came out before he put it in. Do you know what I am talking about?

if ur friend does end up pregnant which i doubt, its her fault too cuz she knows the risks of doing it without protection and also the risks of and STD. if shes pregnant she start having sum symptoms in a couple of weeks she should get one of those home pregnancy tests i dont know how long u have to wait to use it. damn and u also said it hurt her so im guessing she got her cherry popped or she is very sensitive but thats a damn shame if its her first time and she ends up pregnant

Ok here is the deal, yes there is a chance that she is pregnant. Precum can get a girl pregnant as it does have sperm inside of it. Now as for there being a time when a girl can't get pregnant the answer is no. There are certain times when it is less likely, but there is always a chance that a pregnancy may occur. For most women this time is a week after your period as the egg that was ovualted is very young. This also means that there is a time that is most likely to get pregnant which for most girls is a few days before her period. However, this is only an average, where all women ovulate slightly differently and thus the days may not be the same for everyone. All I can say is that although it is very unlikely that your friend is pregnant, there is still a chance so here are some tips that you can give her. One do not dousch or stream water because this will make it easier for sperm to swim to the egg if there is any left. Sperm can live in the body for 2-3 days although it dies very quickly outside the body. Second tell her to invest in some condoms with spermicide and the birth control pill if possible. This way she will be more protected against an unwanted pregnancy. And third get tested for STD's. Some can be cured if found early, or at least have more successful treatments. She needs to be sure, and that will help. Plus if not caught early enough they can cause major problems later on, such as becoming sterile, tubal scaring, and symptoms that affect major organs of the body. If you have any more questions feel free to ask, I did alot of research on stuff like this before I went on the pill.

Yeah I know it can be a touchy subject Latino Bone
Mr.: The chances of your girl getting pregnant when she goes on the pill is 99% when she uses it correctly. By correctly I mean that you continue using rubbers until she completes her first month on the pill, and secondly she takes it within 15 minutes of a scheduled time everyday. Which means if she takes it at like 8:15 a.m., she needs to take it between 8:00-8:30 a.m. everyday or its effectiveness drops. If she forgets a pill it drops even more. Using a condom and the pill reduce risk or unwanted pregnancy by more than 99% when both are used properly. If your girl is forgetful you also mught want to look into the patch as you only need to change it once a week and it stays on delivering hormoned throught the day. As a contraceptive (form of birth control) its about as good as the pill. But don't be shy researching other forms of birth contol such as the sponge (which is coming back to the market), depo provera (the shot, you get it once every three monthes, and gain weight like crazy), the ring (new on the market and I don't no much about it), and other things like that. If you have any more questions feel free to ask, I don't mind answering and I know a decent amount about stuff like this.
my cousins were pregnant and they both ahd their sisters. one was fifteen years old when she had her baby last october and my other cousin is sixteen and she had her baby the first of january. my sister thinks she's pregnant. it runs in the family.. not me though

When I was 16 I got my girlfriend pregnant cuz we were young and stupid. I was scared to death to have a kid when I was 16. And then she ended up having a miscarraige and I was relieved but then a little sad cuz then I thought I might never have a kid. Sorry I got a little off the subject but just thought that I would share.

The shot: The weight gain is the main problem with it, howeer you only need to have it once every three monthes for it to stay effective. I believe that Depo Provera is in the 90-95% effective range on average. It is better than using th pill if you can't keep to a schedule taking it.
The Pill: The pill actually has beneficial side effects such as clearing up skin. It is extremely effective when used properly although nothing is one hundred percent
Both of these methods have side effects that go along with taking hormones. This can include severe nausea and flu like symptoms. What these contraceptives do is trick your body into thinking your pregnant so that the egg cannot attach to the wall and a fetus cannot form.
The Morning After Pill: This is the hardest on the girls body as it will cause pain and cramping, and other individual discomforts. What this does again effects the hormones in the woman's body making it unsuitable for a fetus to form correctly which often forces the body to self-abort or misscarry the baby. I'm not sure of all the science behind it, but if you want me to I'll look into it. The thing is, this is not as effective as methods used before intercourse. Its a last stitch effort, so theres a greater risk in choosing it, and is often only referred to as really effective when the condom breaks.

No problem, and just one other thing that I wanna mention. Going on birth control does not decrease your chances of being pregnant when you come off of it.

The morning after pill can be taken up to five days after unprotected sex, but with each additional day the effectiveness goes down.
