marriage is what you make of it. I for one love my wife till our dieing day and that will always be the case and if you go into with trust and a us against the world mentality you will survive cause in the end you have your family and the one closest to you. I wish you the best Nikki

^^^thank you :) We have had premarriage councling with out Pastor, and I can honestly say that helps to...i mean we might not need it now but in years to come I Know we will use his words!!!

I think we are more excited after the wedding....Feb 14th we are going to Vegas for a few days (we can not wait to be stress free and away from everyone)

awww...thanks everyone.....10 days!!!! everything is finalized tonight...and payed for...so all we gotta do is show up! Hair, makeup, and nails is all i have left to do....my first hair apt (the practice is monday) and then after that....sat before the wedding!

I CANT WAIT...

OH...AND THERE WILL BE OPEN BAR! :) LOL

Aww Congrats!!!! How long have you been planning for this wedding? Man, good luck!! Try doing a wedding in two months!!! I'm going to have mine March 11th...and he just got engaged Jan 14! Everything is coming along good....I wanted to do it in Vegas, but everyone convince me to have a wedding. So since we wanted to get married soon we planned it for March 11th. My family is planning everything...all I have to do is put on a dress and show up lol. I hope everything turns out great!!!

My colors are wine and white....mosty pure white...with lotta white roses (i did all silk white roses....to save on money...since it is soo close to valentines day my boquet alone would of been $800)

The girls are wearing wine dresses (all different, i let them pick since their body types are different and i wanted them to feel as comfy as possible)

the groomsmen are wearing white tuxes, white vests, with a wine tie. (see how little wine i am using)

If you need any tips...i know all the tricks on budgets and everything....:)

My colors are white and yellow. White for marriage and yellow for friendship. Its more of a light yellow not those ugly ones lol. We've ordered 25 dozen roses both colors. Lucky for us, my mom has connections with roses....so all of the roses we are getting are for free!!!!! I wanted my wedding at a park but since we're doing it in March they're afraid its going to be too cold. So we're having it in a hall... and a dj $250 for 7 hours...not bad! It's going to be a small an simple wedding since it's last mintue. We've only invited about 150 people 200 the most. But if I need any help I'll hit you up. How much is your wedding cake going to cost you??

my wedding cake total was about $700.

damn, i would be paying a few thousand for roses if i bought that many, and i just wasnt doing that! your wedding sounds beautiful. Where the heck did you find a DJ for $250 for 7 hours, I am paying $400 for 5 hours, and if it wasnt the "off time" of year for weddings his norm would be $800!!!

Weddings are expensive!

Oh my goodness...your spending a whole lot!!! It's all about connection for us lol. The dj is my sisters friend so he only charged us a bit....he's really good (so she says). The cake, since I work for a hotel I know someone in banquets who know how to make wedding cakes. So for a cake to serve a 100-150 people ... she's only charging us 100 bucks. And thats including all the decorations...all I have to do is by the um...damn...i forgot the word...that thing that goes on top of the cake usually the bride and groom lol. She usually charges 500...her cakes are soo good. I'm having strawberry bread and strawberry filling in most of the cakes...the little one is going to be all chocolate (my bf only wanted chocolate) big baby lol.

I know little about weddings, especially SECOND marriages[wedding etiquette]. Having a hard time figuring out what to do for the reception. *sighs*

I cant wait, but this is the most stressful 2 weeks ever. If anyone has been to a wedding, or has had a wedding write down things I need to remember to get, I am soo scared I am forgetting to buy something :eek:

Counting the days...

Congradulations! I just got married in May. All the way up till your day, it'll be stressful, suck, and give you a headache. It'll be worth it on your day though. It goes quick, so take the time to enjoy it. Best of wishes to you and yours.:thumbup:

Hey everyone....just had time to stop in here...we were in Vegas all last week...omg was it fun!

The wedding was wonderful, everyone had soo much fun...and can you beleive my day/night didnt go fast at all?!?!?! It was the best day of my life. I cant wait to post pics for everyone to see....I am waiting for family/friends to send me some through email so I can post them up for everyone to see....as soon as they do...ill post pics!!! :)
