scrange...i wuz writtin this poem this mornin, and as i wuz about
to stop and maybe finish it later, it actually began to rain outside. so i figured that wuz wut i
needed and that i needed to finish it today, and this is wut i came up with.
Bring on
the Rain
it's over now.
the light of my life
has burned out.
the heart
of my soul
is broken.
the object of my affection
is lost.
all that's left are
fragments
of what was once a spirit,
shattered like ice
upon the
pavement.
so bring on the rain,
washing away the pain
that still lingers
inside.
bring on the rain
may all my hurt be erased
and if his love's not my
own
may i love alone
till at last i close my eyes.
it's over now.
i'm lost and
lone with
no way out.
lover's lane is a
dead end,
and the path to hope
is
gone.
now shall dreams of all
things sweet be dissolved
upon my cheek
as silent
tears fall.

veiling the tears in
a cascade upon my face.
bring
on the rain.
may all my misery fade.
let my heart be free
to hold a steady beat
if
ever i speak your
name
....again.
