Yo, dawg. Rap is coming to Montana.
DMX, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Tech N9ne and Rebel Music Crew perform this fall in Bozeman, Billings and Great Falls.
The Great Falls concert is Sept. 19 in Four Seasons Arena at Montana ExpoPark.
Tickets for the "Walk These Dogs Tour" go on sale this week.
"I'm like flabbergasted about it. You bet I'm going to go. I don't know how I'm going, but I'm going," said Mikell Shafer, 21, of Great Falls.
Shafer, who called the Tribune Wednesday night to verify that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was performing in the Electric City, shrieked when she heard the entire lineup.
"I didn't even know DMX was coming," she said.
From his start as a DJ and human beatbox on the streets of Baltimore, DMX rose to the top of the hardcore rap genre.
With five Billboard chart-topping albums under his belt, DMX saw his latest, "Year of the Dog...Again" hit No. 1 on the Hip-Hop R&B chart earlier this month.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, which has been releasing albums for more than a decade, is best known for its Grammy-winning "Tha Crossroads," a tribute to their late mentor, rapper Eazy-E.
Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Wish Bone, Flesh-N-Bone and former member Bizzy Bone built their reputation on speed rap and tight harmonies.
Their next album is due out this year.
Although rap was prohibited in his Kansas City home, Tech N9ne perfected his speed rap, slow rhymes and dance moves on the streets.
Releasing an album almost every year since 1999, he built his reputation through tours and appearances with bigger acts.
Rebel Music Crew is a hip-hop, reggae and soul trio.
Montana performances are Sunday, Sept. 17, at Bozeman's Brick Breeden Fieldhouse; Monday, Sept. 18, at Billings' Shrine Auditorium; and Tuesday, Sept. 19, at ExpoPark in Great Falls.
Tickets for the Great Falls show cost $29.50-$39. They go on sale Saturday at www.ticketmaster.com or (406)727-8900.
Tickets for the Bozeman and Billings shows are available at www.ticketswest.com and ticketweb.com respectively.
