PHILADELPHIA (Aug 28, 2006) -- Still looking to replace Terrell Owens, the Philadelphia Eagles acquired wide receiver Donte Stallworth from the New Orleans Saints.
The Eagles sent veteran linebacker Mark Simoneau and a conditional fourth-round draft pick in 2007 to the Saints. The trade is pending both players passing physicals with their new team.
Stallworth, the 13th overall pick in the 2002 draft, had 70 receptions for 945 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
Im really pleased with this... Gives the Eagles a real deep threat. They probably now have one of the most rounded receiving corps in the league.
i like stallworth. Hes a little inconsistent, but he should be pretty dominant in Philly.

Good for them. I dunno about best recieving corps. The only have one real first stringer. Stallworth, look at other times who have 2+ like Denver, Dallas, Baltimore, Washington and so on
yea Stallworth seems pretty good but i didnt watch much Saints games

Terrible trade for the Saints, Stallworth had close to a thousand receiving yards last year with a worlthless quaterback. You give him Mcnabb and he's a possible pro bowler

i thought u said deep throat :lookaround: anyways, good trade for Eagles n BAD for Saints. I had Saints being the surprise team this year and going 10-6 but now i got em going 9-7 AT MOST:tongue:

Reggie Brown is a solid #1 reciever and now will be an awesome #2
Its not his fault TO was a ball hog, He played amazing as a rookie

No I don't think they will...without a doubt it is now the best division in the NFC this is how i see it
Redskins - No QB, and are now faced with a Portis shoulder injury that will bother him all year till 2007, Have good recievers but none really are anything special besides moss, defence is good
Dallas - Bledsoe is an average QB with a great long bomb, T.O. as much as i hate him for ruining my Eagles season last year is an AMAZING athlete and the best wideout in football, plus terry glenn is on fire, they have multiple good rb's and a decent defence. Cant forget about whitten either who is amazing. Eagles only real serious threat in my opinion.
Giants - Inexperianced QB who has good games and bad games, Barber who is a beast on the field rushing over 1850 yrds last year, and Burress is a great reciever. Defence is pretty good espessially adding Arrington who in my opinion is the best OLB in football
Eagles - McNabb gets put down a lot even tho he only has had one bad season, He will be more mobile this year now that he isnt injured and now has a good recievers with Stallworth, Brown, and Hank Baskett let alone Greg Lewis, Jason Avant and Jabar Gaffney. Westbrook will be put more in the gameplan running and catching now that TO is gone. They have a great TE is LJ Smith... The Defence suffered last year but it should be a lot better now that they have the weapons to get to the QB having Kearse, Darren Howard and Broderick Bunkley. Secondary will be great
I will call it right now that Dallas will probably win the division, followed by the Eagles and Giants being close and the Redskins at the bottem
The top three teams will go to the playoffs in this division
