well i got a studio projects B1 (mic), beringer mic 200 preamp, m-delta soundcard and an akai mpc 2000 xl (just need some new sounds 4 it)
well and my pc to record

I use sum um logitec mic, I am debating on witch beat making program i am gonna use. And i use sum pro edit or sumthin 2.

Jus curious but what is a Preamp?

a preamp amplifies the microphone signal before it gets to the soundcard so you don't raise the noise level, most of them come with phantom power which you need to power condensor mics

Oic and where can i get one of those...lol sry i'm not much of an expert at this..Like do think at curcuit city or best buy...well ino that newegg has soundcards but i dno if it has a preamp.

you can get an interface which includes preamps and converters
you can get something like the Edirol Ua-25, M-Audio firwire 410, or the Focusrite Saffire depending on how much you want to spend
look on froogle for the best prices or sites like musiciansfriend, sweetwater, zzounds, 8thstreet
