Damn, the more I think about it, the more odd it sounds but I knew one day I be a dad. I knew one day it would happen to me, but I was always fearful, who the mother would be, would I find myself in a web of lies and deceit, yall know, that baby mama drama.
I was blessed to find a good woman, a good wife and a good future mother of my child. Unlike many of us, I was blessed with a loving and caring father and even though my younger days was filled with theiving, smokin weed, clubbin, having sex with all types of girls and shit like that, here I am, ready to be a father to a lil girl myself.
Oh man, to raise a girl, its going to be tough, I've seen the ass chasers and the horny little bastards that even I used to be. I'm going to have be on the porch with a loaded shotgun and some grenades.

It's going to be stressful, that's a fact. I'll be brought to the brink a few times, but I will never leave. Its until God chooses otherwise to bring me home.
You better believe I have to watch for these young ass fools who's going to try to hit on my daughter. My brother and I are going to have to hit em up like Martin and Will in Bad Boy 2.

Congrats! And best wishes hun! Kids are a handful... but the bright side is... they're just as much fun as they are heartache. :-) I wasn't very scared with my first, but I was terrified with my second. (I have 2 boys.) Gabriel's gonna be a killa... he already had girls chasing him in day care and bossing him around. He's only 3. So I too will be sitting on my porch with a shotgun. I don't want the wrong kind of girl to try to get him caught up. You know?
As well, worrying about keeping then from the wrong things in general (drugs, violence, and everything else illegal, dangerous, and/or harmful). LOL... I was HOPING Elijah would be a girl.
Enjoy those early months! And be as supportive has humanly possible during your lady's pregnancy and those first few months after. She's going to needed, and she might turn into tazmanian devil, but don't fret. It takes a few months up to a full year for our hormones to get back to normal. But as I was saying... enjoy those early months. Because in a couple of years that little one will be destorying your home and making more noise than you ever thought you could deal with. LOL
But children are a true gift, and if ever anyone has had a way to make a real mark on society.... it was their children. :-) Raise her well.

THAT'S REAL
Ay congratulations on your blessing. Hopefully your life keeps going even better than its going at the moment and just make sure you cherish all these moments because they'll be gone before you know it.

Her name is going to be Kaitlynn Karis and I just found she's 9 1/2 pounds with two weeks to go. I think I'm predicting where this one is going. She's going to be a big baby.
I've already starvin for sleep. I've been getting all hours of the night, getting my wife water and stuff. I've been cooking dinner for the last month or so. I'm telling you, she has her moody moments but I think I've done a decent job to keep her satisfied if there is such a thing in the last month of pregnancy.

LOL.... a month before my second was due, they told me he was already 8lbs. I was told that he might be 9lbs when he was born. And for me... that would have meant a c-section. So... he wanted to induce my labor. And we waited all that time for induction to even be possible for me (I'm leaving out the details as they're "girl" things.) It never happened. My due date came and went, and I was scared of not being able to have a regular delivery.
A WEEK LATER... I go into labor... expecting some 9 or almost 9 lbs baby. Do you know Eliyah was only 7lbs 1oz! 1lb and 3oz LESS than my first. They're not always right. They told me Gabriel was 6 and a half lbs right before I delievered. He ended up being 8lbs 4oz. They said my niece was 7lbs she ended up being almost 10lbs.
LOL... you just neeeever know. She could be measuring large or small depending on the position of the baby and how much fluid is in there. LOL... but I can't wait to find out how much she actually will weigh at birth.
Best wishes!
