Hey hey guys. I'm buying a new car this year and need some help in choosing one. My budget is $20,000. I want something nice with good gas mileage

I'm looking toward the 07 Honda Accord Sedan(a bit more expensive, but has leather interior!)
and
the 07 Honda Civic Sedan Ex

My 1st car in mind was the VW Jetta, but gas mileage ain't all that great

Do any of you have the above cars?Any other suggestions? and new car buying tips? Thinking of purchasing July 4th. Since that's when they have those good specials. Thanks!

I plan on getting an Acura TSX. I test drove it the other day and it is great. It is actually the European Honda Accord. Only here, it is an Acura.

I suggest you go take it for a ride. It's a great car all around. You can probably find a used one for around 20,000 which is what i'm currently looking for.

With that budget, i'd recommend the Scion TC. I convinced my gf into getting the TC instead of a Honda and she is very happy with it.

My friend has a TC. Looks very cool from the outside, but the inside is like really cheap. So that's my only turn down. I want something luxurious from the inside. Great car though, hauls ass. What's the MPG like?

I bleieve they said $20,000 budget there math teacher. Get a truck! I bought a 06 nissan that's pimp for justa lil more than you budget... I think it was right at 22,000 fully loaded with crew cab. it's a v6 4.0 liter with 265HP it runs great. I needed something more practical than my 02 mustang so I went with a truck. Nissan makes good cars also. Look at the Sonata and toyota scions also, they hold thier value well. Good luck and happy hunting don't let em rape u.

Check out the Mazda 6 since your looking for a sedan, or get a Benz C230 or C240, u could find a 02 - 05 withing 20000 prize range
I had c230 before I wrecked it and its a great car, some of the best handling.

I suggest the Mercedes c230 Kompressor Sedan, V4, 189hp, and gets 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway, anything form a 02 to 05 u can probably find in that prize range, a 02 im guessing u could find for as cheap as 12K with around 60000 miles.

its' like this if you really want the car just get it who cares bout' debt don't let nuthin' hold you back just make sure you can make the car payments. My 1st car of the lot was my bmw I didn't care bout' car payments or insurance I just made sure I paid the payments.. Just go for wut you want without lettin' nuthin' hold you back.

I know what you mean about the inside, nothing too special. But for $17,000 for the base model, lol there's not too many cars that you can get brand new that are better. MPG is a little less than the hondas, but that's because its got more power (compared to the civic ex). What I like about the interior is the amount of space in the back seat. I haven't seen a 2 door car with as much leg room as the TC. The back seats also recline, which is a definite plus if you know what I mean lol :D .

Also gotta add that I agree with the guy that said to buy a car that's 2-3 years old. A lot of the depreciation on cars happens in the first 2 years, so you can save a lot by buying used. I'm looking for a corvette as we speak. Instead of gettin the 2007 for like $65,000, i'm looking for a 2004 for around $38,000. And you can get one with about 20,000 miles on it. $27,000 savings is definitely worth it for me plus i'll be driving a much nicer car then I would have got if I bought new. Can't afford $65,000 lol.

I really want a ferrari. Does that mean I should get one if I can't afford to make the payments? No offense, but that's the type of thinking that ruins your credit, makes your car get repossessed and flushes whatever money you have already put into the car down the toilet.

i read somewhere that life is to short to have a substandard car. get somin $40+ and have the best in life.

but i found that only imported cars have the best interior.

also my friend has a 2007 TL, and she lets me drive it, whooo! soooo nice. but that outta your price range, sorry.

you can check into one of those Versa or Fit

You should get an Integra, they are good on gas. You can prolly get one for 9 g's and then use the rest of your money to pimp that shyt up. Thats what I would do anyway, but I already got one.
