I'm giving Steve his props, he has amazing charisma. But if it wasnt the push he got from fueding with Bret at SurSeries 96, RR97, WM13 and after, he wouldnt have become a fan favorite superstar. He was quiet and boring before KOTR 96. His matches with Bret really improved his in-ring profromance, you could tell. Bret did the wrestling business, Vince, and Steve and big favor to hand over his face character to Steve. But in the Bret Hart DVD, Bret said he was happy and excited to do it, and glad he did.
