View Full Version : 2005 MLB Season

I don't know how big baseball is on this board, because i never paid attention to this forum until just the past few months. But for me, it's the best sport there is. My team is the Minnesota Twins. They've won the American League Central division 3 years in a row, but have been knocked out of the playoffs by the Yankees in each of those years. I've already ordered the MLB Extra Innings tv package to get all of the games this year. .But anywayz, I'm interested in who are the other board member's favorite teams now, so we don't see any bandwagon fans as the season progresses. Who's your favorite team?
im a baseball fan, who used to be died hard about 7 years ago. Then i fell off for no apparent reason. I don't really have an affiliation with a team anymore, but i sometimes find myself rooting for the Yanks and Angels. All this steroid crap turns me off though.

I'm a huge Baseball junkie, most people here know that :)
2005 - GOOO RANGERS! Lots of people write them off as a weak team but they will for sure be in playoff contention this season as long as they can get their starting rotation issues solved.

It's all about the Cleveland Indians. If it wasn't for their shitty bullpen who likes to blow games they would have been hot shit last year. I believe they blew over thirty wins. One of the best offensive teams last year. They taking the AL Central this year.
... hopefully

The Indians were a fun high scoring team to watch last season. They had alot of good games with the Twins. It should be an interesting division race this year. I think every team has a shot to win the division, except the royals. But i still think the Twins will 4-peat as division champs. :-D

Man, i know my indians will come wit it with their bats, the only thing worrying me is there darn bullpen. Its suppose to be more solid this year, and if it is we taking the central. :-D
AL Central is going to be fun to watch this year.
If anyone is wondering about the Offense of the indians Check this out (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/baseball/mlb/08/31/indians.yankees.ap/)

Indians def. got they division on lock dis year they got a good solid team great lineup and hella talent in tha bullpen. Indians are goin all tha way dis year no doubt
The Indians will do better than last year, but won't beat the Twins. The Twins have some of (if not THE best) the best pitching in baseball. If Mays and Lohse have their stuff, it's going to be VERY tough to beat the Twins pitching. Hopefully, too, some of our players like Mauer and Morneau will come through for us offensively.
That said, I am a BIG Twins fan. I'll be at opening day, many games throughout the season, and the playoffs. I catch all the action. ;)
I'm just a big baseball fan in general though. Hell, I fly to Florida every year just to see some spring training! That's dedication. :P

You got that right!
The Indians ... won't beat the Twins
Your full of it.
:-D
Wishful thinking on your part. I'll give the Indians second, but that's all they're going to get.
What a bitch tonight's game was huh? At least for us Red Sox fans.

Huge mets fan.......my uncle had season tickets when I was little so I used to go to all the games.
Signing pedro and beltran and mientkiewicz were big. Im just not so sure about our bullpen (looper blowing 2 saves already in 3 chances). But we should be in contention for a playoff spot.

To say I'm a diehard Mariner fan is like saying Albert Pujols has had a decent start to his career. I buy MLB extra innings every year, I record the games nightly (if I have to work during the game), and watch them when I get home.
I would abstain from sex for life if it meant a world series title.

Sorry, Colorado will never win in that ballpark. They've tried basically every type of team imaginable, and nothing works there. They tried to mash, with Bichette, Burks, Walker, Castilla, Galaragga, and that didn't work. They tried small ball, back when they had Pierre patrolling center. They've tried every type of pitcher, power arms, finesse pitchers, sinkerballers, nothing works.

Im with you man, My Minnesota Twins are doing it this year. Best pitching staff in baseball(starters and bullpen) and we got a good bats and still the best defensive team(exception to Micheal Cuddyers 11 errors already). We're young, talented and just flat out know how to play the game.
