virus fucking up your Registry file.
--> get anntivirus software

Or your harddrive is
physically damaged...try defragmetation.
--> maybe norton utilities can fix this (but rather
not)

hmm...u can boot
sometimes with some installation-cds for antivirus software. Or sometimes start in safemode
and a scan would do.
