Bone (Kray & Wish) @ Heartbreakers in STL 3/10

First and foremost I want to thank Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone for making an appearance on their tour to St. Louis, MO. I've been a long time BTNH fan since I was 14 and have always wanted to see them live. Unfortunately it wasn't all 5 True Thugs but I'll take anything I can get!

Rest In Peace already posted a pic of the flyer in the window (and I was going to snatch one of em up but forgot all about it). But I'll post what I have anyway.

Kray and Wish were first spotted outside Heartbreakers in a van at around 5:45-6:00pm. I figured they would've rolled up in something a little bigger but I guess they were trying to lay low. They sat out in the van playing with their phones for about 30 minutes. At some point Pozition hopped out the van and went inside. Unique and I stopped him midway and talked to him for a minute, said Kray and Wish were having a "meeting". We shook Pozition's hand, he got back in the van and shortly after that they took off and didn't swing back around til 7:00pm for a few minutes only to take off again. We had heard that they were supposed to be on stage at around 9:30pm so we had a couple hours to burn. Killing time would've been easier having more $$$ to play around with, but playing the penny slots at the Lumiere Casino just down the street was pretty entertaining. I can't complain, I won 10 bucks lol.



Unique and I only came to see Kray and Wish so skipping the others, The Life Ent. FINALLY started setting up stage at around 11:00pm.

First up on stage was some white dude rolling with Bone. I didn't bother to take any pictures of him :S

At around 11:15pm, Sin Marlee was up, did a few songs I had never heard, then again I don't really know much about the guy. He did perform "All Coast Girl", in which Krayzie did not perform alongside him. My camera is pretty old, so the quality of pictures and video aren't the best. You can at least listen to the video and get a feel.







Nearly 11:30pm at this point, Krayzie and Wish finally roll in through the front door. Wish was pissing me off though, lol, I couldn't get a good picture of him for nothing.


Before they rolled through the door, Unique and I got a handshake from Krayzie. I said, "what's up Kray, we representin' the btnhboard". As he was shaking my hand he said, "that's what's up!" Krayzie was pretty willing to take pictures. Wish however seemed like he was pissed off or something the whole night. No hand shake from Wish at this point.

They did a few other songs here and there, but I don't think they were Bone songs. Not sure what they were. No matter, they were all short (less than a minute).

For the most part Krayzie and Wish did their own lines in each of the songs. Of course singing the parts of the tribute songs they did (Eazy-E, Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac)

The songs were all good, they both were really into it, especially Wish.







I was in a bad spot for pix though, the place was packed, so I started trying to get in a better position.

At this point, they asked the crowd if anyone could rap. Two guys and a girl got on stage and did some freestylin'. Didn't get a pic of the girl, but she won. Not sure what she got, maybe a free t-shirt or something.



And that was the show! They got off stage a little after midnight, so they were up there for about an hour.

While they were trying to get out the door, I did finally get a handshake from Wish.

Of course security had to block off the entrance so they could dip out, and by the time they let us go, they were already around the corner and down the street. They slipped off into a side door at Heartbreakers by the time we caught up to em.

When we talked to Pozition earlier in the day, we asked him if we could get a couple of pix and chill for a minute after the show, he said "yeah that's cool, I got you."

After standing outside in the 35 degree lovely Missouri weather for about an hour or so (it felt more like 3 hours though, shit was freezing outside), and seeing at least 20 girls go in and out of that door, they finally came out as they were getting ready to head back to the hotel.

I figured they'd at least let us down there right after the show, after talking with Pozition, but maybe the girls going in and out of the basement had something to do with the cronies Bone was rolling with. Guess you had to be a female and know a staff member of Heartbreakers or know a Bone-Crone to get down there to get some lengthy meet and greet time.

I remember seeing Sin Marlee popping in and out of the basement a couple times. Got a handshake from him as well.

Whatever the case may be, when they did finally come out, Unique and I did finally get our pictures with Krayzie and got him to do a short video for the board!

I really am sorry everyone that I don't have a better camera, and I tried fkn with the video settings on Youtube to get the video brighter, but I have no idea what I'm doing, so here it is. You already know about Chasing the Devil and its scheduled release date, but I thought maybe just getting something from Bone about what's happenin' on their tour n shit would be good.

That's a pretty good-lookin' review, NastyNate. Good job! Yeah, that's pretty much what happened. I don't think I really need to add anything else. The pictures are good. However, you're right the video quality. ... But, hey, atleast we took it way back to the 60's. Only if we could've got one of those horses in the video ... as well.

Oh, yeah, NastyNate. Did'nt we take 2 pictures with Kray? I only see one of them.

P.S. Krayzie was much taller than I thought he was. That's weird, because when I first talked to him last year, he did'nt look that tall - at all.

yeah man there were two pictures for each of us but the first one with you and krayzie, he looks higher than hell and your eyes were partially closed, and on my other one, i looked about half retarded lol, so yeah, the better of each two pics are posted up. thanks on the review man it took me 3 hours uppin pix and vids, croppin em and what not. i remember earlier in the night saying krayzie was a little dude when he was standing next to wish. wish is about as tall as i am, maybe an inch taller. i'm 6'1 and in the pic of me and kray, he looks taller than me. maybe i was hunched down or something.

thanks RIP i don't remember seeing any white dude with dreads, i just remember trying to snap pix, vibe with the muzak, trying to document this shat with a sharpie gettin bumped around. Layzie, Bizzy, and Flesh are supposed to be heading down to Branson, MO soon. Thinking I might wanna try and make it down there. We'll see what it do. Cool, NastyNate. Yeah, that's exactly why I wanted us to take 2 pictures -- incase we did'nt like the first picture or something. I'm gonna see if I can make it out to Branson, Mo, as well. Maybe we could meet up again. ...I just gotta see what date they will come out there, and if I have the enough money, I'll definitely try to head-out there.

Makes no sense though, why would he go to Branson on the 26th, then be in Germany for a concert on the 27th, only to go BACK to MO in Kansas City on the 28th.

Anybody else see something strange about that?

Yeah considering I've flown to Germany and it ain't no short trip. From St. Louis you have to make another stop and then go across the ocean. Not only is the timing of his tour dates weird but he'd also be jet lagged as a motherfucker, believe me. I'd bet his Germany dates are tentative. Too bad I'm flat broke 'cause I got family over there. Holland is only a few hours from my relatives too!

I've heard a few stories on here about Wish, but I'm not gonna go into it. I'm not sure why he did'nt appear to be happy/ or willin' to show interaction with the hardcore fans like Kray did (he's the best stage performer, so you'd think his reaction would be much different) but it's cool. I asked him to step-out the car because I wanted to give him the benefit of doubt. (Some dude that was grillin' food for the place even mentioned to us that Wish doesn't seem happy).

My main goal, with Wish, was to ask him a few good questions about his solo album ... for you guys, so I really wanted him to step-out the damn car (lol). Oh, well. I'm just gonna see what will happen next time. Hopefully, he can show some interaction, and a little more love. If not, then, honestly, I probably would'nt care much after that. Lol...

Oh, yeah. ... That dude, Sin Marlee, was cool as hell. ..And thanks to Kray for being nice enough to let us take pictures, and a video. Of course, we all know Kray is cool as hell.
